M2BRIDGE Mobility
The M2BRIDGE mobility program offers the unique opportunity to study, research and teach at the renowned partner universities in Dresden, Germany and Patras, Greece. The mobility program focuses on sustainable cooperation in teaching and research. Innovative solutions for the future will be developed with the focus on lightweight engineering and multi-material design. Individual mobility allows for new perspectives, intercultural experiences and expands one's own network.
Students, PhD students, early-career researchers, university lecturers and professors are invited to apply for a M2BRIDGE stay at the respective partner university . The program is open for applications during the entire project period from January 01st, 2023 to December 31st, 2025. If you are interested, please send an informal request to the relevant contact person at your home university. We look forward to welcoming you to the M2BRIDGE program!
The mobility program is open for the entire duration of the M2BRIDGE project for:
- students,
- doctoral candidates,
- early-career researchers,
- university lecturers and
- professors
of TU Dresden or one of the partners of Dresden-concept and the University of Patras.
If you are interested in a M2BRIDGE study, research or teaching stay at the respective partner university, you are invited to apply in the appropriate category to the contact person at your home university.

Send us an informal request in which you state your preferred travel period, briefly describe your motivation for participating and the links to your studies or academic career. Attach a short CV (max. 2 pages) to your request.

The mobility program is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD ) with funds from the Federal Foreign Office (AA) as part of the M2BRIDGE project (funding body: ILK, TU Dresden).
M2BRIDGE Scholarship
Students and PhD candidates are supported in the form of a scholarship, with a minimum stay of one month.
The M2BRIDGE scholarship for study/research stays at TU Dresden provides for a monthly scholarship installment of €860 for students and €1,200 for doctoral candidates (pro rata payment possible from the 2nd month). In addition, a one-off travel allowance of €425 is paid as part of the scholarship.
The M2BRIDGE scholarship for study/research stays at UPAT provides for a monthly scholarship installment of € 1,050 for students and € 1,500 for doctoral students (pro rata payment possible from the 2nd month). In addition, a one-off travel allowance of €425 is paid as part of the scholarship.
M2BRIDGE business trips
Participants of the mobility program with an employee status organize their stay in the form of a TUD business trip or a trip in the official interest of the TUD ("third party"). The business trip is not charged according to actual costs, but according to the following DAAD flat rates:
Mobility allowance
- The mobility allowance covers all expenses related to the trip; in addition to the outward and return journey/flight, this also includes expenses for visas, vaccinations, excess baggage, baggage insurance, etc.
- The mobility allowance for all categories is € 425 per trip.
Lump sums for accommodation
- The accommodation allowance covers the costs of accommodation and meals as well as health, accident and liability insurance.
- Arrival and departure days count as one day each.
- Depending on the category, the following flat rates apply:
