Germany
The 2014 ECEMP-IGS report workshop took place from the 9th to the 10th of October 2014 under the direction of Prof. Maik Gude (Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology). It saw scholarship holders report to the leadership of the IGS on their research in the fields of energy technology, environmental technology and lightweight engineering, with subjects including integration of optical sensory fibres into metal structures, Nickel-Tantalum and Copper braze alloys for laser joining of thermoelectric generators and rapid prototyping methods for light metals. Guest in this years report workshop was Dr. Carsten Pohlmann a former phD student who finished his dissertaion in September 2014. The topic of his talk was hydride-graphit-composites for hydrogen storage applications.
