Project group E: Demonstrators in Multi-Materials Design
The project group E is an integrating project area with two subprojects. The project group E is focused on the systematic integration of the solutions of the single subprojects.
The subproject E1 is aimed at the development of construction principles capable of generalisation. This work is done on the basis of a systematic combination of the solutions generated in the several subprojects of SFB 639. Therefore, a technology demonstrator "function-integrating vehicle system unit" is modelled utilizing the whole SFB process chain. The technology demonstrator is based on modules, so that a great variety of assemblies and functions can be represented by the different innovative semi-finished structures made of textile-reinforced thermoplastics.
In addition, emphasised importance comes up to the reproduciable manufacturing, on which the subproject E2 is focused. For this, the process-chain-specific influences from material, workpiece, tooling and technology on the component qualities and their interactions in correlation with its technological and material-mechanical oriented subprojects have to be analyzed to and to be adapted straight. A model of the generic process chain, which describes the relevant active interactions functionally, is necessary for the methodical description of these spheres of influence. Building up on this, the planning, assessment and monitoring of a robust manufacturing process should be enabled.
