Inspiration for tomorrow: Agritechnica 2025 and VDI LAND.TECHNIK join forces
In November of this year, two special highlights awaited the chair and its staff: the world's largest agricultural technology trade fair, AGRITECHNICA, and the associated conference, LAND.TECHNIK AgEng2025, in Hannover.
Scientific exchange at the ‘LAND.TECHNIK AgEng 2025’ conference
At the conference, members of our professorship provided exciting insights into our research projects:
- Prof. Thomas Herlitzius presented an economic calculator for the agro-economic evaluation of highly automated vehicle concepts
- Julian Hagert presented the current status of the HySim project, which is researching an interactive training simulator for combine harvester operators and machine developers
- Samuel Pantke reported on the findings and results achieved in the project on weed seed separation
A vivid discussion and an inspiring exchange of expertise rounded off the conference participation.
Exciting insights at the world's largest agricultural technology trade fair
At the subsequent AGRITECHNICA trade fair, the professorship represented Dresden University of Technology at several stands.
The focus was, of course, on its own stand at the fair's ‘Science Campus’.
Here, visitors could explore demonstrators and functional models from the Jaetrobi and Agrothermie projects and also find out about many other projects.
A wide range of information on degree programmes and cooperation opportunities also attracted great interest among visitors.
In addition, various cooperation projects of the professorship were also involved in joint stands.
For example, the ‘Feldschwarm ÖkoSystem’ was represented at the stand of the Free State of Saxony, where the Innomade TK 100 field robot was also exhibited.
The ‘MIRO’ project – Central German Innovation Region for Fruit Growing – was also presented at a joint stand.
Weed seed separation project wins Agrifuture Concept Award
Another highlight was the honouring of the ‘BeA’ project with the Agriconcept Future Award on the DLG's Expert Stage.
Together with project partners ZÜRN and EXAgT, we were thrilled to receive this special award.
We had already reported on the award in an earlier news article.
All in all, we can look back on an exciting week, which was characterised by interesting discussions and a wide range of impressions.
