On 26 June 2026, TU Dresden will once again open its doors for the Dresden Science Night. Visitors can look forward to a diverse programme featuring lectures, experiments, guided tours, and numerous hands-on activities. Across the university's various campuses and facilities, guests will have the opportunity to experience science and research firsthand, learn about current developments, and take a look behind the scenes.
"Solid, Liquid, Fluffy – A Taste of Food Science"
Our Chair of Food Engineering will also be participating, offering exciting insights into its research and teaching activities. Learn about current challenges and developments in food engineering as well as ongoing research projects with a particular focus on sustainability and resource efficiency.
At our stations, you can discover how by-products from food manufacturing can be put to valuable use and how modern processing technologies contribute to more sustainable food production. In addition, you will have the opportunity to put your senses to the test in our sensory laboratory and take part in the INT Rally, "Experience the Journey of Natural Raw Materials from Field to Breakfast Table!", where you can explore the food value chain from raw materials to the finished product.
We look forward to welcoming you and discussing the food engineering challenges and innovations of today and tomorrow.
