Unter der Leitung von Prof. Wagenführ steht an der Professur die Schnittstelle Werkstoff - Verarbeitungstechnologie im Mittelpunkt von Lehre und Forschung. Wir beschäftigen uns mit innovativen Entwicklungen und Verarbeitungsprozessen von Holz- und Naturfaserwerkstoffen, um Tradition und innovative Forschung für eine nachhaltige Zukunft zu verbinden.

Brief profile and core research areas
The Chair of Wood Technology and Fiber Materials Technology is unique in Germany as it covers both material production and the entire materials processing chain right through to the finished product (furniture, construction elements and other products from the wood industry and related sectors). In addition, composite materials that are not based on wood or lignocellulosic materials are also researched and developed. Research is currently carried out by four working groups, which are interdisciplinary according to the type of material.
The Chair of Wood Technology and Fiber Materials Technology teaches and conducts research in the field of materials development and processing under the direction of Professor André Wagenführ.
