The aim is to make well-founded statements about the need for expanded glass panels in existing areas of application and to discuss possible alternatives with aluminum honeycomb panels. The project deals with the material comparison between the panel materials. In addition to the machining and processing of the materials for yacht interiors, the topics of strength testing, sustainability and cost-effectiveness are also considered.
