DigiPOP- Cross-border innovation for the future of healthcare
We are excited to announce the launch of the EU-funded Interreg Saxony–Czech Republic project DigiPOP, marking the beginning of an exciting research initiative at the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM), TU Dresden.
Together with our partners from Saxony and the Czech Republic, we are developing innovative technologies to support the prevention and diagnosis of pelvic floor disorders. By combining smart textile sensor systems, digital technologies, artificial intelligence and biomechanical modelling, DigiPOP aims to create innovative solutions for future healthcare.
The project highlights the enormous innovation potential of the Saxon–Czech border region. Through close collaboration between research institutions, industry, healthcare partners and SMEs, DigiPOP strengthens knowledge transfer and promotes sustainable innovation across borders.
At ITM, we contribute our long-standing expertise in technical textiles, smart textiles and textile-based sensor technologies and look forward to working with our partners to transform cutting-edge research into practical healthcare solutions.

S potěšením oznamujeme zahájení projektu DigiPOP, financovaného z programu Interreg Sasko–Česko. Pro Institut textilních strojů a technologií vysoce výkonných materiálů (ITM) Technické univerzity v Drážďanech představuje tento projekt významný krok ve výzkumu na rozhraní chytrých textilií, digitalizace a zdravotnických technologií.
Společně s partnery ze Saska a České republiky vyvíjíme inovativní technologie pro podporu prevence a diagnostiky poruch pánevního dna. Projekt propojuje inteligentní textilní senzorové systémy, digitální technologie, umělou inteligenci a biomechanické modelování do komplexního řešení pro moderní zdravotní péči.
DigiPOP je skvělým příkladem toho, jaký potenciál má přeshraniční spolupráce. Propojením výzkumných institucí, podniků, zdravotnických partnerů a malých a středních podniků vznikají nové impulzy pro přenos znalostí, technologií a inovací v česko-saském příhraničním regionu.
ITM do projektu přináší dlouholeté zkušenosti v oblasti technických textilií, chytrých textilií a textilních senzorových systémů. Těšíme se na spolupráci se všemi partnery při vývoji inovativních řešení pro zdravotnictví budoucnosti.
