Partner colleges and universities waive tuition fees, and students receive a small monthly scholarship from the EU Commission in Brussels that is supposed to help covering additional costs related to the stay abroad. It is not supposed to cover regular expenses one would have at his or her home university, though.
The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) was established by the Commission of the European Union to provide a uniform approach for the recognition of academic achievements completed abroad. It supplies a structure for the assessment and comparison of academic performances, thus enabling the transfer of academic achievement from one college/university to another.
By consistently cooperating with our partners abroad through AUTEX, it is also possible to take part in research projects.
The student exchange works vice versa. Luckily, we have been noticing increasing interest in our institute in recent years. Numerous students from several countries have been studying in Dresden so far – and they were delighted. Students have enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere at our institute as well as good relationships to professors, teachers and staff.
