Call for applications for the Johann Andreas Schubert Prize 2024
SACHSENMETALL and the Johann Andreas Schubert Foundation are continuing their collaboration this year to recognize outstanding academic theses (dissertations, diploma and master's theses) by students and young academics at Saxon universities. The "Johann Andreas Schubert Prize" is awarded for work that is particularly relevant to practice.
A total of up to EUR 6,000 is available for the award.
Until April 2, 2024, the deans of the universities have the opportunity to propose work from the following areas related to the metal and electrical industry at SACHSENMETALL
- Electrical engineering
- Mechanical engineering/process and energy technology
- Materials science/materials technology
- Transportation sciences
The submitted work must contain innovative ideas, application-oriented methods and/or practically usable solutions. Applicants must confirm that they have written the work independently and have not yet been nominated for an award. This must be confirmed in writing by the supervisors or reviewers. The universities evaluate the work with a short accompanying report, which should include the objective, result, cooperation with companies and innovations.
The award ceremony itself will be announced to the public and the media in an appropriate manner. By submitting their application, participants also agree that photos may be released and used by SACHSENMETALL for publicity purposes.
