Invitation to the excursion "Fascination Agricultural Engineering" for students from May 6 to 8, 2025
The Chair of Agricultural Systems Technology is offering an exciting excursion in the 2025 summer semester. From May 6 to 8, 2025, students will have the opportunity to explore the heart of the German agricultural industry: Osnabrück.
During these three days, participants can expect exclusive insights into leading companies in the industry for just €25 - from established large corporations to innovative start-ups:
- CLAAS self-propelled harvesters
- GRIMME agricultural machinery factory
- NEXAT
- Bernard KRONE machine factory
Modern agricultural machines are highly complex, mechatronic complete systems - the challenges of today's agriculture can only be mastered through the sophisticated interplay of numerous disciplines. Today, state-of-the-art electronic components and innovative algorithms and AI systems are also part of these fascinating machines, which are used in the harshest environmental conditions.
Participants can look forward to exciting company tours where they can experience the structures and working methods of these farms up close. The excursion also offers valuable networking opportunities. There is the opportunity to get to know potential employers or make contacts for your final thesis!
Modern agricultural engineering offers challenges in all disciplines. This excursion is therefore aimed at students of all engineering subjects (e.g. Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering) as well as those interested in other fields such as Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Industrial Engineering and Management or Business Administration and Economics.
The Chair welcomes interested participants from any Department.
Participation fee: 25 € (incl. accommodation, travel expenses and breakfast)
