Vorbereitungskurs Ingenieurwissenschaften - die effektive Methode zur Vorbereitung auf das Ingenieurstudium! Ab 2023 führen wir den Kurs als endlich wieder als Präsenzlehrveranstaltung durch.
Der diesjährige Vorbereitungskurs startet am 03. August 2026 mit den ersten Lehrveranstaltungen.

Welcome to the Engineering Sciences preparatory course!
The preparatory course in engineering is an offer for first-year students of all engineering departments. At the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, it is part of the "Guided Studies" program.
The Engineering Preparation Course at TU Dresden can be attended by all first-year students in engineering departments, regardless of whether they are enrolled at TU Dresden or not.

Why take part in the preparation course?
- Start your studies optimally prepared
First-year students come to us with very different levels of prior knowledge. The preparation course helps to bring the participants to a uniform level. In addition, participants should learn to solve problems without a calculator during the preparatory course - a skill they will appreciate during their studies. - Making friends with math and physics
Some math and physics topics can often only be covered optionally at school due to time constraints and are therefore not covered in sufficient depth for engineering studies. During the preparation course, we will close these gaps.

University learning and problem solving
The preparatory course introduces participants to the engineering mindset and problem-solving strategies. It also prepares them for university learning, which is different from learning at school. -
Against anonymity at university
During the preparatory course, participants can make contact with fellow students and get to know important contacts at TU Dresden before they start their studies.
This enables participants to start their university studies optimally prepared.
