Dear students,

We are pleased to introduce you to the TUD Global Citizenship Certificate (short: GCC) - a program that qualifies, empowers and connects you with an international and local-global scientific and civil society community. The GCC promotes and recognizes your intercultural and global experiences as well as your local-global engagement. It offers you a meaningful and future-relevant certificate.

How is the GCC structured?

GCC consists of four modules: Knowledge, Mobility, Practice@Home and Civic Engagement. To obtain your certificate, you must complete at least three of the four modules, with Knowledge being compulsory. The events take place on a multilingual level in German and English with the support of other languages of the participants.

Who can take part in the program and how do you register?

All students, doctoral candidates and exchange students enrolled at TU Dresden can participate in the GCC program. Registration and the issuing of certificates are free of charge. However, there is a registration deadline for the mandatory introductory course "Global Citizenship Lab https://tu-dresden.de/internationales/profil/tud-global-citizenship-certificate/tud-gcc-lab", which should be offered once per semester via Studium Generale with ECTS. GCC applicants can decide for themselves in which semester they would like to take the introductory course. The next and very first GCC Lab will take place in broad cooperation on June 28-29 at the COSMO Science Forum. Max. Places: 40 (of which 22 are already taken). Registration deadline: June 7, 2024.
