The organisers of the innovation conference have made it their goal to bundle the region’s professional expertise in topics such as renewable energies, new materials or waste management and merge it with the pioneering spirit of Eastern German enterprises in order to develop novel innovative concepts for the further economic growth of the Lusatia region.

Technische Universität Dresden and Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg incorporate their expertise in energy technology, recycling economy, energy efficiency, resource and material efficiency, as well as sustainable mobility into the planned Think Tanks. Via these exchange platforms, the organisers hope for new suggestions regarding the development of novel growth potentials.

Prizes will be awarded for the best works in the ideas competition “New paths – innovative ideas for the economic growth of Lusatia” (Neue Wege gehen – innovative Ideen für die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in der Lausitz).
