The Rector’s Chain of Office from 1890
This collection brings together individual pieces and small sets of objects gathered over the years by the Office for Academic Heritage as historical artefacts. Examples include the livery collars belonging to the rectors, selected furniture or scientific equipment and instruments with a special history.
Collection of Hospitality Gifts
Metal Relief of the Smolny Institute Leningrad, 1986
This collection documents national and international relationships between the TU Dresden and other academic institutions, industrial entities and corporate bodies from numerous states and every continent. The GDR period (1949 to 1989) is particularly well-represented in the collection. An especially large number of gifts were added to the collection on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Technical College of Dresden (TH Dresden) in 1978.
