From research to startup - get off to a flying start with the LifeTechLab
Until August 31, 2025, students and researchers in the life sciences have the opportunity to submit their innovative business ideas for the next round of LifeTechLab.
The start-up incubation program, run by TUD|excite in association with dresden|exists network, supports teams in developing viable business models from their research results within two months. In daily workshops and individual coaching sessions, experienced consultants from the startup service and external partners impart the necessary knowledge on topics such as financing, intellectual property, and pitching.
A special highlight is the presentation of the business idea: at the final “Pitch Day” in front of founders and experts from the biotech industry, the teams receive valuable feedback. The LifeTechLab is thus an ideal platform for transforming research results from the life sciences and medicine into innovative business models
Dr. Erik Wegener, co-founder of the TUD spin-off Oxaphil and LifeTechLab alumnus, reports: "The LifeTechLab was the first step for us from scientist to founder. We can only recommend the format to anyone interested: created by professionals, with carefully selected experts and very well tailored to the research environment. In addition to all these points, the resulting exchange within the start-up scene is very valuable."
The program starts on September 11, 2025.
