Exchange with Uzhgorod

As part of the Global Health Initiative Spring School 2024, an exchange program was initiated with the Family Health Care Department of the Faculty of Medicine at Uzhgorod University, Ukraine (UzhNU). The program aims to support the training of young medical professionals from Ukraine in times of crisis and to sensitize TUD students to adapt and build new structures in the healthcare system during conflict situations.

The UzhNU students built personal and professional networks with participants from the TUD's medical faculty and other faculties, visited the skills lab of the Medical Interprofessional Training Center (MITZ) and took part in a GP practice rotation.

This initiative is to be expanded in the future to include intensive teaching cooperation between the two institutions.
