- Erasmus+ Leitaktion 1 – Personalmobilität: Gastdozenturen

- JSPS Fellowships for German Researchers in Japan: Die Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) bietet verschiedene Programme für Doktoranden, Postdoktoranden und Wissenschaftler an. Hierbei sind Forschungsaufenthalte in Japan zwischen 1 und 24 Monaten möglich. Zu beachten ist, dass eine Bewerbung abhängig vom Programm durch das Gastgeber-Institut direkt bei der JSPS oder durch den Stipendiaten beim DAAD oder der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung einzureichen ist. - Erasmus+ Key Action 1 - Staff Mobility
- Individual funding is available in the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe for doctoral candidates and young researchers within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
- Research grants for doctoral candidates (DAAD)
- Research fellowships for young scientists with a doctorate (postdoc program) - Short-term fellowships (DAAD)
- Further funding for stays abroad can be found in the scholarship database of the DAAD
- Walter Benjamin Program (DFG): enables scientists to independently implement their own research project at a location of their choice after completing their doctorate.
- Max Kade Fellowship (DFG): one-year research stay in the USA for young scientists in the fields of natural sciences and medicine.
- Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation): 6-24 months research stay abroad for postdoctoral fellows as well as experienced researchers
- PhD full scholarships for Australia: The GO!stralia Research Centre awards two full scholarships for a PhD at each of five Australian universities: Griffith University, University of Adelaide, Deakin University, University of Technology Sydney, Queensland University of Technology.
- JSPS Fellowships for German Researchers in Japan: The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) offers various programs for PhD students, postdocs and scientists. Research stays in Japan between 1 and 24 months are possible. Please note that depending on the program, an application has to be submitted by the host institute directly to the JSPS or by the fellow to the DAAD or the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. - Starting in 2022, the Japanese government (MEXT) will award fellowships for one and a half or two-year research or study visits (supplementary or postgraduate studies) in Japan
- Fulbright Doctoral Program in the U.S.: This program supports four- to six-months stays in the U.S. by young German scholars who are conducting a research project at a U.S. university or academic institution that is directly related to an academic dissertation they have already begun. Important. For visa technical reasons, applications in the field of medicine cannot be considered, but only for related research projects in the natural sciences.
