About our project
We - that are Doreen Pretze and Stephan Wiegand - organize the podcast topics of "YOU ASK we explain - Fears of contact in medicine", a project funded by the TU Dresden. Together with our students, our aim is to make the topics known everywhere. If you have any questions or criticism, please feel free to send an email to .
Who is funding the project?
Science and research are an elementary part of our culture and essential for social development. In cooperation between the Carus Lehrzentrum (CarL) and the public relations department of the Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine, the project "YOU ASK we explain - fears of contact in medicine" was submitted as part of TUD im Dialog and successfully acquired funding. It is part of the "Public Outreach" project in the EXU focus area IMPACT and is intended to contribute to further strengthening the impact of TU Dresden in society and to achieve innovative, target group-oriented and contemporary science communication.
What is our goal?
The funding will be used to record live podcasts on current, multifaceted and relevant/significant topics for exchange and a transparent look behind the scenes of medicine: Everyone asks - university medicine answers. The focus is on the critical exchange between experts and the wider community. Students can demonstrate their skills as moderators and debate questions submitted by members of society together with doctors and scientists.
Topics such as AI in medicine, gender-specific medicine or errors in medicine are to be discussed and give impulses to society to critically deal with this topic.
Become a part of it!
Communication has never been as important as it is today - especially with regard to medical issues. We want to support this and look forward to welcoming committed moderators and speakers, as well as numerous questions on the topics. The contact is quickly established:
