Ingmar Glauche is a scientific assistant at the Institute for Medical Informatics and Biometrics. He is a TUD Young Investigator heading a research group for theoretical stem cell biology and the BMBF-funded MessAge Project. Dr. Glauche is an elected member of the Extended Senate of the TU Dresden.
Dr. Glauche’s research focus covers the following areas:
Hematopoietic stem cell aging (BMBF-funded project MessAge: Medical Systems Biology of Aging Hematopoiesis):
- Clonal competition and clonal dominance
- Age-related changes in the polarity of HSC divisions
Theoretical concepts of stem cell organization:
- Proliferation- and differentiation control of haematopoietic stem cells
- Clonal competition phenomena
- Cell fate regulation of mouse embryonic stem cells
Disease and treatment models:
- Chronic and acute myeloid leukaemia
- Conceptual understanding of inherited bone marrow failure syndromes
