The Institute for Medical Informatics and Biometry offers different services for employees and students of the Faculty of Medicine and the university hospital Dresden. The detailed service portfolio can be found under the following link.

Biometrical/bioinformatical consulting
The Institute offers consultation to the field of planning and evaluation of experimental and clinical studies/research projects to member (staff and students, Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine/University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus) of the TU Dresden and external customers (consulting projects only).
This consultation services, includes topics which classical biometrics/statistics and bioinformatics methods is divided into two areas:
- Standard advice (free, max. 10 hours, "helping people help themselves", no acquisition of calculations)
- Consulting projects (commercial, individual care, according to the scope of agreements)

For the planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical trials in humans (according to AMG), please use the consulting services of the Coordination Centre for Clinical Trials (KKS) Dresden.
Training and further education
In addition to regular courses for students the IMB offers the most different courses for employees and external prospects in the area of biometry and the handling of statistical software tools.
