Welcome to the research group
The research group Clinical Sensoring and Monitoring is a interdisciplinary team of various scientific and engineering fields. Our main competence is the development and application of optical imaging techniques, especially optical coherence tomography (OCT), spectroscopy and thermography.
Clinical Sensoring and Monitoring
The research group Clinical Sensoring and Monitoring is part of the Clinic of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine of the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus. Our premises are located at the Medical-Theoretical-Centre (Medizinisch-Theoretisches Zentrum – MTZ) together with other clinical and non-clinical research groups.
Since the establishment of the research group in 2003, the team has steadily grown up to currently about 20 employees, which come from various scientific and engineering fields, such as physics, medical technology, electrical engineering, chemistry or computer science.
Our main competence is the development of optical imaging modalities, especially optical coherence tomography (OCT) as well as spectroscopy.
