Activated insulin receptor adorns title page of "BIOspektrum”
Almost 100 years after the discovery of insulin, a German-American research team published how exactly the hormone activates its receptor last year. This work now adorns the title page of the current issue of the journal "BIOspektrum".
Scientists from the molecular biosciences with their different disciplines are in active
exchange and close contact with each other. This is also reflected in the journal “BIOspektrum”, which is published regularly as a joint publication of the leading molecular biological research societies. In addition to the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM), these include the Association for General and Applied Microbiology (VAAM), the Society for Genetics (GfG) and the German Society for Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology (DGPT).
On the occasion of the 10th GBM Innovation Prize for Young Scientists awarded by GBM to PLID researcher Dr. Theresia Gutmann, Dr. Gutmann was invited to present her field of research on the mechanism of insulin receptor activation to a broad audience.
