DGE Award 2017 for Dr. Andreas Müller
This year's award of the German Society for Electromicroscopy (DGE) goes to the PLID scientist Andreas Müller. The DGE presents the award during the annual Microscopy Conference MC2017 ("Dreiländertagung"), which took place from August 20-25th in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The award is given to outstanding, diploma, master's or doctor's theses which were submitted at a German university and which preferably are of a methodologically innovative character in the field of microscopy. Dr. Müller received the prize for his dissertation "Ultrastructural Analysis of Insulin Secretory Granule Aging", that he implemented in the research group of Prof. Michele Solimena at the Institute for Pancreatic Islet Research (IPI) / Paul Langerhans Institut Dresden of the Helmholtz Center Munich at the University Hospital and Of the Medical Faculty Carl Gustav Carus of the TU Dresden (PLID).
