DZD Award and poster prize for Ivan Perez Rodriguez at the DZD Woskhop in Tübingen

Every year, the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD) recognizes ten young researchers with a DZD Award. The internal award honors scientific results from basic or clinical research presented in form of a poster or a presentation at a diabetes conference.

This year, among others, a PhD student of the Paul Langerhans Institute is delighted to receive a DZD Award. Ivan Perez-Rodriguez from the research group of Prof. Anthony Gavalas, receives the award worth 1000 Euros for his poster presentation "Pancreatic progenitors expressing the metabolic regulator Aldh1b1 potentially initiate pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma", which he gave at the Cancer Metabolism conference in Bilbao, Spain in October 2022, organized by the European Association for Cancer Research.

But that's not all, Ivan also received the poster award of the DZD Woskshop in Tübingen worth 200 Euro.
