Sugar as a Drug - Radio Broadcast with PLID Physicians
Excessive consumption of sugar can promote cardiovascular diseases and lead to diabetes. In addition, the growing number of diabetes cases is considered as one of the major medical challenges of our time. Cardiovascular diseases are the number one cause of death in Germany. What are the traces that the "sweet life" leaves in us? Sugar, like other substances, also serves the reward system of man? How does this work in particular? What is the relationship between stress and eating habits? Can these mechanisms lead to an addiction?
