Paw Worldwide
In recognition of the vital role postdoctoral researchers play in advancing scientific research, the Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW) is celebrated annually around the world. Initiated in the United States in 2009, PAW has evolved into a global event, with institutions and organizations from countries like Canada, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, and the UK participating in the celebration. The week-long event, typically held in September, features a range of activities, including seminars, workshops, and social events, which provide an opportunity for institutions to express their appreciation for postdocs' hard work and dedication. PAW also serves as a platform for postdocs to connect with their colleagues, share their experiences, and celebrate their achievements.
