High-Cycling of synthetic materials out of compounds [HiCycl]; Development of optical recognition technology
Duration: June 2011 - May 2014
The scope of the project is the extraction of high-quality recycling plastics, which can replace primary materials. The innovative approach of the project is the significant improvement of the separating capacity for the different polymer fractions. With the help of a new sensor system (Hyperspectral Imager) the spectroscopic and also spatial data can be recorded in real-time. Hence, the position of the plastics on the conveying system can be identified as well as the polymer type (usage of chemometric methods).
