Girls' Day 2024: A Day in Material Chemistry

On April 25, 2024, the Collaborative Research Center 1415 “Chemistry of Synthetic 2D Materials” and the Graduate School 2861 "Planar Carbon Lattices" jointly participated in the Girl's Day 2024 initiative. Our workshop "A Day in Material Chemistry" was one of over 15,000 contributions nationwide introducing female pupils to the realm of science. We had the pleasure of welcoming six curios pupils who learnt about the extensive subject area of synthetic materials. They were guided by ambitious doctoral students in different aspects of their fascinating research activities. We extend our gratitude to all the participants for their visit and keen interest in our workshop. Witnessing your enthusiasm for learning and science was truly motivating. Likewise, we express our appreciation to all the helpers for their active involvement.
