International Max-Planck Research School (IMPRS) Seminar
On August 2nd, the IMPRS seminar was held at TU Dresden, a joint event between the Dresden-concept partners, the Collaborative Research Centre 1415 “Chemistry of Synthetic Two-Dimensional Materials” and the Research Training Group 2861 "Planar Carbon Lattices" of TU Dresden and Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). The invited external speaker was Prof. Dr. Andreas Hirsch from FAU and he reported on “Chemical Pattering of Graphene and Inorganic 2D Materials“. Afterwards, M. Sc. Tsai-Jung Liu, Chair of Theoretical Chemistry, TU Dresden, introduced her research topic “Gulf-Edged Zigzag Graphene Nanoribbons: Structure-Imposed Electronic Topology“.
The CRC consortium would like to thank Prof. Andreas Hirsch und M. Sc. Tsai-Jung Liu for the insightful presentations. Additionally, we would like to thank all participants for attending the lecture.
