The teaching and research activities of the Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry are closely linked to the research institutes located in the Dresden region.
The main areas of work include material sciences (e.g. porous materials, nanotechnology) and biologically oriented chemistry.  
In addition, the faculty is involved in the cfAED research cluster "Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden".
The effect and evaluation of food ingredients is a research focus in the field of food chemistry.

Laboratory tours for prospective students

The Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry would like to provide prospective students the opportunity to get to know "the chemistry of the TU Dresden" in addition to offers such as UNI-Live or the student information day. Every month there is the opportunity to take part in a guided tour through the laboratories and lecture halls and to talk directly to scientists and students.
The starting point is the foyer of the CHE building. The number of participants is limited.
