QUILT - Quanteninformatik in der Lehrerbildung mit Transfer in den berufsorientierenden Unterricht
Contents of the project
In undergraduate teacher training, a course is being developed, in which the central theoretical content of quantum information is taught in an attractive way, experimentally and by using digital methods. This prepares physics teacher students for an integrated, university-supported didactic internship, which they complete with partners from industry and research.
On this basis, the students develop and test teaching concepts that are suitable for providing an authentic insight into career prospects in the field of quantum computing at schools.
With the help of the results obtained, suitable concepts can be developed in the training and further education of teachers in order to modernize the teaching of quantum physics in schools.

Research Focus
Starting in the winter term 2022/2023, the quantum information course developed for teacher students will be conducted and optimized three times using a design-based research approach. Survey instruments will be developed to evaluate the following areas:
- Influence of the teaching of subject-specific content and STEM career orientation in the field of quantum information with regard to the attitude of student teachers within the university framework of teacher training
- Implementation of the teaching content and experiences of the didactic internship in career-oriented teaching units
