School-related projects

Student projects and teacher training sessions are firmly embedded in the activities of the chair of Didactics of Physics. Most of our student projects have a long-standing tradition, including the Student Experiment Week, the Girls' Holiday Camp, the UNI-LIVE (a one-day study taster), and the co-organization of Physics on Saturdays.

Girls' Experiment Camp

The Girls’ Experiment Camp is a 3-day workshop for female students aged 13 or 14. The camp aims to promote interest in the natural sciences, especially physics. Each year, a workshop is held at TU Dresden, focusing on a new and exciting topic in depth. The workshop is co-funded by the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation.
Experiment week for school classes

Physics in a completely different way than in physics lessons. We give you the opportunity to really ‘touch’ physics. We give you measuring instruments, set up experiments with you and explain how everything works.

Additional activities for students can also be found through our cooperation partners. These include the Creative Lab "Lötpunkt" at the Technical Collection Dresden and the DeltaX Student Lab at the Helmholtz Center Dresden-Rossendorf.

Furthermore, the Chair for Didactics of Physics offers supervision of students in special learning achievements (please contact the secretary office if interested).
