Organisation
The Center for Transport and Devices of Emergent Materials (CTD) is a sub-unit of the "DRESDEN-concept Project center (DcPc)", the latter coordinating cooperations between the Technical University of Dresden (TUD) and the surrounding research institutions. The mission of CTD is to organize and coordinate activities of different research groups at TUD - at the faculties of science, mechanical engineering, and electrical and computer engineering - and the scientific partners at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (IFW) and the Max-Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids (MPI-CPfS).
The operations of CTD are lead by a directorial board. Founding directors are Matthias Vojta (TUD) and Bernd Büchner (IFW). The directors receive administrative support through the CTD office.
