Institute of Theoretical Physics
At the Institute of Theoretical Physics we are studying physical phenomena using analytical and numerical methods. To that end, the laws of nature are represented by preferably simple but often quite abstract mathematical structures. We develop new approaches to solve the resulting equations in order to explain and predict natural phenomena.
The research at our institute focuses on the extremely rich behavior of complex quantum mechanical and classical systems. Details on the research activities can be found on the web pages of the individual research groups.
