The Chair of Work and Organizational Psychology
A warm welcome to the Chair of Work and Organizational Psychology!
We study how people work and how work can be designed effectively—for employees as well as for the organizations in which they work. We’re interested in what motivates people at work and keeps them healthy, how they learn and develop professionally, how collaboration and leadership succeed, and how organizations find and retain the right people.
We place a special emphasis on the transformation of work driven by artificial intelligence. When do employees rightly trust an AI system—and when do they trust it too much? How are job tasks, job profiles, and career paths changing? And how can collaboration between humans and AI be structured so that work becomes better—not just faster?
In our teaching, we cover work, organizational, and industrial-organizational psychology in the Bachelor’s program in Psychology and the Master’s program “Human Performance in Socio-Technical Systems” (HPSTS).
During the 2026–2027 winter semester, the Chair will be held by Dr. Anne-Kathrin Kleine. We’re glad you’re here—whether as students, colleagues, or industry partners.
