Hanna Kische is a graduate human biologist with a major in neuroscience and physiology. She deepened this knowledge with research internships at the Max Planck Institutes for Ethnological Research (Halle Saale) and for Cognitive and Neurosciences (Leipzig). She submitted her doctoral thesis in April 2016 to the Department of Epidemiology at the Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine of Greifswald University Hospital. During this time she did research on biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases within the population-based "Study of Health in Pomerania" (SHIP). As a postdoctoral fellow, she is interested in epidemiological research on the link between biological factors and psychological disorders.
From 2018 - 2021, scholarship holder of the Maria Reiche Program for the promotion of academic career paths of young female scientists with doctoral degrees.
