Chair of Engineering Psychology and Applied Cognitive Research
We are interested in the investigation and optimization of dynamic attention effects in real and virtual environments. Our research focuses on gaze behavior during free image viewing, attention-centered design in human-computer interaction, intelligent user (and driver) support through online evaluation of intentions and situational awareness, and the development of methods for measuring eye movements in three-dimensional environments. For our investigations we use high-resolution video-based eye-tracking systems. The research group cooperates with partners on a national and international level. Within the TU Dresden, we are involved in the Cluster of Excellence Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop and are integrated in the Center for Virtual Mechanical Engineering (ZVM). Members of our working group have founded the company Interactive Minds Dresden, with which we cooperate closely.
We are part of the Master's program Human Performance in Socio-Technical Systems and offer various lectures, seminars and internships for students of Psychology, Computer Science and Engineering.
