The methods courses in modules M1 and M2 deal with
- the roots of psychology in the natural sciences and humanities.
- Special features of the human subject of investigation and fundamental methodological and ethical requirements of psychological research.
- important survey methods and quality criteria of empirical research work.
- Basic methods of theory and model building.
- Theoretical background of experimental research.
- Basic concepts and techniques of experimental design.
- Procedures for drawing (representative) samples and relationships between sample properties and selected statistical variables (e.g. sample size, effect size, test strength, confidence intervals).
- the correct and efficient communication of scientific research results.
D Courses provide the necessary knowledge to independently plan a study to answer typical research questions.
