Successful kick-off of the workshop series “Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents” as part of the Solomiya project at the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology
On 28.11.2024 our workshop series “Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A)” started with Ukrainian child and adolescent psychotherapists who are trained in IPT-A as part of the Solomiya project. The 5-workshop series is organized by Prof. Anna-Lena Zietlow and Luna Grosselli and conducted in collaboration with Dr. Roslyn Law, a renowned expert in Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A) from Anna Freud in London.
IPT-A is an evidence-based and effective short-term intervention that aims to support people in crises. It helps to alleviate emotional distress and cope better with difficult life circumstances, while also involving the young person's significant others in the process.
The workshop series teaches the basic principles of IPT-A, and will place a special focus on the specific situation of young people in times of crisis and war, as is currently being experienced in Ukraine. You can find more information about the project here.
