Targeted prevention of work and study related stressors and strains in the University environment.
The Dresden University of Technology and the “AOK Plus – Die Gesundheitskasse” have established a cooperation for the project “Needs-based and targeted preventions for psychological stressors and strains in the work and study environments”.
A portfolio of prevention measures that aim to strengthen mental health for staff and students will be developed and scientifically evaluated.
This includes the construction of health-promoting work and study environments, the health preserving management of psychological stressors, as well as the strengthening of students and employees to recognise the first signs of distress and seek out early prevention/intervention programs.
In addition to “classic” behavioural and environmental prevention measures, new evidence-based measures from the field of E-Mental Health, supported by Prof. Dr. Corinna Jacobi (Institute for Clinical Psychology and E-Mental Health, Dresden University of Technology) will be implemented.
“The limitations of the four fields of prevention, namely nutrition, exercise, addiction and stress/relaxation will be overcome through the development of innovative app-based intervention modules, combinable among themselves and supplemented with modules from new fields of research”.
The cooperation is scheduled to run until Autumn, 2022. The project is led by Prof. Andreas Seidler (IPAS) and Prof. Dr. Corinna Jacobi (Institute for Clinical Psychology and E-Mental Health, IKPP). Prof. Dr. Susanne Knappe will support phase 1 of the project (recording psychological stress and strain).
