Franka Glöckner (Thurm) studied psychology and obtained her doctoral degree at the University of Konstanz. In her diploma thesis she worked with formerly abducted child soldiers in Uganda. In 2012 she finished her doctoral thesis about "Aging and dementia - Clinical relevance of early markers and late interventions" (WIN project, funded by the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities). Since October 2012 she is a member of the section of Lifespan Developmental Neuroscience at the TU Dresden.
