Many of TU Dresden's partner universities offer various short-term student exchange programs, such as summer schools, intercultural training or language courses. Current programs in Europe
UK
The University of Aberdeen is offering 3 exciting summer schools in summer 2026, covering different topics in the STEM field.
1. Archaeology Field Excavation Summer School
A 3-week course where you will receive a guided tour of known Picts excavation sites, including an insight into the basics of fieldwork and excavation. You will also be able to take part in an actual excavation at the East Lomond hillfort in Fife. During this summer school you will learn how to document excavations, process data in laboratories and process the data in various programs.
You do not need any previous knowledge for this summer school.

2. Drug Design and Discovery
A summer school where you can deepen your knowledge of chemistry and develop laboratory and computer skills relevant to drug design and discovery.
When?

3. Field and Lab Skills in Biosciences
For all students who have a focus on biology in their studies, this summer school offers you the chance to deepen your lab skills.

UK
What?
1. Philosophy Summer School
2-week summer school on the topic of philosophy. Various lectures on current topics and discussions with academics, including a cultural program for participants.
2. Scotland: History, Heritage and Culture
This 2-week summer school is the ideal introduction for all students interested in Scottish history. From the 17th century to the present day, the most important historical milestones are covered.
When?
July 26 - August 08, 2026
Who?
For option 1: Philosophy students in the Bachelor's program.
For both courses: English language skills (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent) are required.

UK
What?
The LMH Oxford Summer Program offers interested BA and MA students the opportunity to participate in a wide range of courses on various topics.
All courses last 3 weeks and courses on the following topics are offered:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

- Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law
- Psychology, Science, and Medicine

24 hours per week (4 mornings, Monday to Friday and 2 hours on 2 afternoons)
Levels:
A1, A2, B1 - based on a placement test
For B1 level students, courses/lectures on contemporary Italian culture, art, cinema, literature and sociolinguistics are offered in the 3rd week
Activities Culture + leisure:
Opera, art, cultural excursions, cooking, Italian music, Italian gestures, aperitivo at the end of the course
France
What?
3-week intensive language courses (A1 - B1) for all students interested in improving their French.
When?
June 01 - 26, 2026
Who?
Open to all interested students. Knowledge of French is not required.

Taiwan
What?
The National Taiwan University (NTU) is once again offering a wide variety of summer courses this year.
Students can choose a suitable course from 5 subject areas (Chinese language courses, research, engineering, natural sciences, social sciences).
When?
Between June and August 2026
Duration of the courses: 1 - 6 weeks
Application & Deadline
Applications can be submitted from February 2 to April 15 via the NTU application portal.

Japan
What?
For all students interested in improving their Japanese, Tohoku University is offering two Japanese language courses this summer.
