If it is not possible for you to spend one or two semesters abroad, e.g. if you are unable to participate in a long-term physical mobility activity for study purposes due to personal, family, health or course-related circumstances, short-term stays may be an alternative:

Blended short-term mobility (incl. Erasmus funding)
means a combination of a shorter physical mobility with a virtual component (short-term blended mobility) or participation in a BIP (with a mandatory virtual phase). Blended short-term mobility is eligible for Erasmus funding.

Blended Short Term Mobility: Application and funding
Eligibility requirements: When participating in a blended short-term program, the physical mobility activity must last between 5 and 30 days and be complemented by a mandatory virtual component that enables a joint online learning experience and teamwork. A minimum of 3 ECTS credits must be achieved for the physical and virtual components combined.
- Check if the Blended Short Term program takes place at an Erasmus partner university of the TUD .
- Registration at the host university: Register directly for participation in the BIP or Short Term Blended program at the host university by the deadline.
- Funding: You will receive information on funding for a Blended Short Term Mobility via Erasmus+ after your registration in Mobility Online; see also Funding: You can count on this support.
- Register via Mobility Online: Apply in Mobility Online for an available exchange place in the Short Term Blended program at least 30 days before the start of the short program (green button = free place). If no free place is displayed, send your registration confirmation for the BIP by e-mail to . You will then receive the link to register in Mobility Online.
- Once you have successfully applied for an Erasmus place via the mobility portal, the International Office will issue you with your Grant Agreement .
- Create your digital Learning Agreement via your mobility workflow with at least 3 credits and have it signed in full (TUD and host university) before the start of your stay.
