The ServiceCenterStudies is here to answer all your questions regarding your studies at TU Dresden. We strive to help you with your request or, if necessary, we will refer you to the right service point for your request. Our goal is to support you through all phases of your studies – from deciding what to study to starting and completing your degree. Please use for your questions also the Counseling Compass.

You can contact the ServiceCenterStudies via the service hotline or in person at the Servicepoint.  All questions are answered in German and English. We do our best to answer your questions as fast as we can, but please be patient if you don’t hear back from us the next day – a ticketing system assures that no inquiry gets lost.

The Servicepoint is located in the Fritz-Foerster-Bau (FOE). You are welcome to ask all questions concerning your academic studies or about your Campuscard and you can also hand in forms here. 

Handling of personal data

Sound advice is the foundation for successful studies. To offer you the best service possible, we need your enrollment number / application number and your degree program when you phone or email us. TU Dresden students are kindly asked to use their TUD email address when they contact us. For inquiries at the SCS Service Point, please have your Campuscard or an identity document ready.

Bei Fragen zur Bewerbung, zu Studienvoraussetzungen, zur Rückmeldung oder anderen Anliegen der Studienorganisation sind Sie beim Immatrikulationsamt an der richtigen Stelle, wenn Sie Ihr Abitur an einer deutschen Schule nach bundesdeutschem Recht oder als deutsche:r Staatsbürger:in Ihre Hochschulzugangsberechtgung an einer ausländischen Hochschule erworben haben. Offene Sprechstunden der Berufsberatung der Agentur für Arbeit

Jeden Montag (nur während der Vorlesungszeit) in der Zeit von 09.00 bis 12.00 Uhr findet direkt beim Servicepoint des ServiceCenterStudiums, Fritz-Foerster-Bau, im Raum E40C die Berufsbertung der Agentur für Arbeit statt. Die Beratung erfolgt zu den Themen: Berufswahl, Neuorientierung nach Studienabbruch, Bildungswege in Deutschland, Arbeitsmarkteinstieg, Karriereplanung, finanzielle Hilfen

Campuscard as ID

You can identify yourself with the Campuscard at TU Dresden events with limited admission, e.g. when taking an exam, at university sporting events, and at internal university elections. In addition, the Campuscard serves as proof of your student status with offices outside the university. Learn more

Campuscard as Studentenwerk Dresden payment card

You can use the Campuscard to pay at the Studentenwerk Dresden (Student Union) canteens and cafeterias. To find more information on using the Campuscard as a payment card, please visit the Studentenwerk Dresden website. Learn more

Campuscard as SLUB library card

With your new Campuscard, you can benefit from all the services at the Saxon State Library – Dresden State and University Library (SLUB). For example, you can borrow books and media, reserve work spaces and equipment in the SLUB-Makerspace, conduct research in the database and register for events and advisory services. Learn more

Campuscard as semester ticket

The Campuscard does not serve as proof of your semester ticket. However, since the winter semester 2024-25, you can retrieve your semester ticket in digital form via the Campuscard portal. Information on the validity of the semester ticket can be found on the TU Dresden StuRa website. Learn more
