Start of ESF project "onboarding@Transport and Traffic Sciences" (oTTS)

About the project

oTTS is a cooperation project between the Center for Continuing Education and the Friedrich List Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. It aims to increase the academic success of students at the Faculty of Transport Sciences. The project's services are aimed in particular at international and female students.

Measures

The following sub-measures are planned to increase the academic success of the target groups:

Sub-measure 1 - Academic-cultural onboarding - finding & arriving in the German-speaking academic culture

Conception and implementation of various formats (workshops, coaching/counseling, etc.) with the aim of supporting the participants in the social and academic participation of their studies.

Sub-measure 2 - Academic and writing didactic enrichment to promote academic and subject socialization in seminars on academic writing. Working

Conception of teaching/learning units (didactics, methodology, materials) in coordination with the module coordinators with the aim of increasing the skills of the participants in the organization, implementation and reflection of their scientific writing processes.

Sub-measure 3 - Qualification, support and coordination of writing and intercultural buddies

Design and implementation of further training for writing and intercultural buddies. The aim of this sub-measure is to form a qualified team whose members can accompany and independently implement formats, evaluate events and benefit from each other's intercultural experiences.
