We warmly welcome all first-year students and, of course, all other students to the start of the winter semester 2023/24. You can look forward to a colorful and diverse campus, great people and many opportunities to develop in your studies.

To ensure that our first-year students in particular have a successful start to their student life, numerous informational offers await you during the first semester introductory week (ESE). In addition to many offers from the individual student councils, there are also a few centrally organized events that are worth attending.

This is where everyone comes together. You can meet all the contacts that might be relevant for you as a student. These knowledgeable contacts will be available to answer your questions and provide you with a wealth of information.

Matriculation ceremony
On behalf of the University Executive Board and the Senate of Technische Universität Dresden, Professor Ursula M. Staudinger, Rector of TU Dresden, cordially invites you to the ceremonial enrolment of the students of the new academic year 2023/2024.

When: October 5, 2023, 3 am – 4:30 pm
Where: At the Auditorium Center or watch a live stream from the campus lawn of the Auditorium Center or view the live stream on YouTube.

TUD Campusfest
Afterwards, starting at 4:30 p.m., the TUD Campusfest will take place for all students and employees on the campus lawn of the Auditorium Center. You can expect a colorful program with the TU Big Band, student music and dance groups. At 8:00 p.m., the festivities will continue with the PARTYPROFs. You can party until 10:00 p.m., with the DJ-Campus-Team aka Master Gun.Drum & Digital Kaos, who will be dropping beats.
