Extension applications for scholarship holders

Students who received a Deutschlandstipendium during 2025/26 and will be enrolled in the following academic year can apply for an extension of the scholarship. The selection boards of the departments will evaluate the applications. If there are sufficient financial resources and all selection criteria are fulfilled, a continuing funding is possible. 

Funding beyond the standard period of study

The scholarships usually last at least two semesters and include a maximum time period for the standard period of study (Regelstudienzeit). In special cases the funding can be extended beyond that. In this case, please indicate in the application form the reasons for exceeding the regel study period in the appropriate section.
