Hike2Network
For several years now, the Deutschlandstipendiat:innen (Germany Scholarship Holders) of the AG Netzwerk und ideelle Förderung have been committed to connecting interested students with companies while they are still studying. For this purpose, the Hike2Network format was created as part of the idealistic support in the Deutschlandstipendium of the TU Dresden. The framework of a joint hike is intended to give scholarship holders and sponsors the opportunity to talk and get to know each other personally. With this low-threshold exchange, an alternative to traditional recruiting can be created and future career starters can be offered an insider's view of the company.

Review of the last two Hike2Network hikes
Hike2Network GE-BA-U-MED
The first Hike2Network took place on Sunday, 30.04.2023 from 9:30 to 16:00. The S-Bahn took us to Lohmen and from there scholarship holders and sponsors hiked along the Malerweg to the town of Wehlen. On the way, there were many opportunities for all participants to engage in an intensive exchange, to network their own working world and to have exciting conversations of a private and professional nature. The keen hikers were able to admire beautiful landscapes, master slippery paths, listen to the legend of the Uttenwalder Felsentor, climb small rocks and enjoy a scoop of ice cream in glorious weather and sunshine at the end of a 14 km tour.
We thank all participants for the exciting conversations, the great exchange and a sunny day together.
Hike2Network MAT/NAT-ING
The second Hike2Network event took place on 12 May 2023. A total of around 30 participants met at 9.45 a.m. in Radebeul Ost to start off together in the Radebeul Forest. The participants included: Amazon Development Center Germany, Infineon Technologies Dresden GmbH & Co. KG, Sunfire GmbH and Tokyo Electron Europe Limited.
It began with a round of getting to know each other, in which sponsors and students named an aspect about themselves that makes them unique as a person. Thus, those present learned that there are people in the round who speak 5 languages, are wearing their new walking shoes for the first time today, have already completed a bike marathon, have ridden the Lößnitzgrundbahn to school and play various musical instruments and sports.
First, the route led a short way uphill to the Bismarkturm. There, during a short break, those present had the task of finding similarities in their group that unite everyone.
The walk continued towards Augustushöhe, from where everyone could enjoy a great view of Dresden and Radebeul.
In between, there were many opportunities for sponsors and students to talk and exchange ideas about companies and studies.
The hike ended with a climb up to the Spitzhaus, followed by a circular walk through the vineyards down to the Hoflößnitz. The event came to a pleasant end with a drink and a tarte flambée.
We thank all participants for a sunny and communicative day with exciting and interesting conversations.
