Jewish Dresden - Old cemetery and new synagogue
JEWISH DRESDEN - OLD CEMETERY AND NEW SYNAGOGUE
On Sunday, November 4th, you will learn about the history of the Jewish community in Dresden. On a guided tour of the Old Jewish Cemetery in the Neustadt district, you will hear the stories of some of Dresden’s citizens—both ordinary and extraordinary. For example, the Kaskel banking family, who founded the “Dresdner Bank”. After a delicious lunch, we will continue in the New Synagogue. You will learn more about Dresden’s recent history and the community’s present day activities. Additionally, you will experience the modern and surprising architecture!
Fee: 8 Euros (pay at the Cultural Office, payment via card and bank transfer are not possible)
